Our Story

The only place to rest
in the middle of nowhere.

Death Valley doesn't forgive the unprepared. But for more than a century, Furnace Creek General Store has been the answer to the desert's most basic question: where do I go when the miles get long?

What started as a mining waystation has grown into the sole hotel, restaurant, and supply hub inside Death Valley National Park. No other lodging exists within the park boundaries. When the world's hottest place on record gets too intense, this is where people come to breathe.

We're not a resort. We're a lifeline — with character, history, and a front-row seat to one of the most extraordinary landscapes on the planet.
